Hexham LHS
The society was established in 1966 and now has 248 members, many of whom are Hexham people now living in other parts of the country.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from September - April at 7.30pm in Trinity Methodist Hall, Hexham.
During the summer months we organise one evening trip and 2 day trips to places of interest farther afield.
Our publications include an annual journal - 'The Hexham Historian' (published in June), 4 Newsletters each year, and Occasional Papers.
Members are encouraged to take part in research into various aspects of the history of the town and Tynedale.
